We all carry our prisons with us,” – The Doctor

Sometimes what the Doctor says is so profound and yet simple, when I truly listen to what he’s saying.  This week was no exception.  “We all carry our prisons with us,” for the Doctor he’s referring to his sentence to outlive all those he loves and truly be alone, it’s not the same, but still create a prison in which we live in.  We can’t live a life of freedom, and pick up and go on an adventure when opportunity comes calling because we have bills to pay, student loans, mortgages, credit cards, insurance, etc. and I wonder how I can simplify and streamline my life to have no prisons.  We strive to earn to buy, but what does it get us?  A prison of possessions…
